Meet The Man Behind StrikeGoldWins

Meet the man behind StrikeGoldWins

Q: How did you get started betting sports?

I originally played poker professionally on Paradise Poker, Party Poker, and Poker Stars grinding 10/20 NLHE in 2003 – 2004. Paradise Poker developed a SportsBook and I begin betting NFL on their website.

Q: What attracted you to sports?

Sports have always played a huge role in my life. When I was a child I cut out photographs from magazines of athletes and plastered them all over my walls in my room. When I became a teenager I quickly grew into my 6’4” 200 pound frame, and was a highly scouted baseball prospect until I tore my UCL and Radial nerve going into my senior year of High School.

Q: What was your source of business prior to StrikeGoldWins?

Professional Poker was my main source of business before Sports Betting took off in my life. Poker and Sports betting require a similar mental acumen to excel to the level I am accustomed to

Q: What was plan B if sports betting didn’t work out?

Sports Betting took off when I was studying for my Juris Doctorate at University of Nebraska Lincoln and my goal during that time was to become a U.S Marshall or an ATF Agent.

Q: What were some of the most memorable wins for you?

The most memorable win in my career has been when I successfully predicted the San Franciscio Giants would win their first World Series while they were 8 games back in the regular season behind the first place San Diego Padres. It won me a great deal of money, and gave me a ton of confidence to know I had the instincts and knowledge to make big time moves in this business.

Q: What does StrikeGoldWins do daily?

My daily life consists of taking care of my children, exercising, helping my customers through the process of games we will be taking on that current day if we are schedule to take wagers.

Q: Do you have specific teams you follow or like?

I have never been a big fan of any specific team, but I do enjoy certain players. I find being a fan of a certain team in this business, can certainly pigeon hold you and set back your mental judgement in making the right decision with your money.

Q: What are the predictions for NFL?

I think the Teneessee Titans will have a big step forward in the AFC South this year, and expect great things from them.

Q: What happens when you lose game(s)?

Losing games is a part of this business, but I never let myself get hung up on a loss or view it as failure. Keeping focus of the big picture, while keeping a positive mindset helps keep me grounded.

Q: Have you ever lost and thought, this is it?

I have never once felt that way, as I would not be in this business or any business matter of fact if I was not supremely confident in my belief that I can excel and be among the company of the best in the industry.

Q: Do you cap all sports?

NCAA Football / Basketball, NFL Football, and MLB are my bread and butter. I do not gamble or take positions on soccer and I will once in a while take a position on NHL lines as they are built very similar to MLB.

Q: What’s the best advice you can give to prospective gamblers?

The best advice I can give you as a gambler, is to use your money on games you are comfortable and have knowledge on. Too often I have people contact me that want to wager on a game just because it is on television, but they have very limited knowledge about the teams, and the current lines.

Wagering can be very fun, but you should never lose sight of the fact the goal is to win and better your life.
